HOME!

Just a quick post & then I should rest.

Ethan James was born Oct 11 at 10:17pm. He weighed 8lb, 14 oz & was 21 inches long. He's beautiful. We ended up having a C-section, after pushing for 2 hours & not making progress. Hearing him cry was the most beautiful sound.
Sunday morning his numbers for jaundice screening were high, so he was put on the bili-blanket. He was our little glow worm. The numbers went down a bit & we were finally released Monday afternoon. It's good to be at home with our son.
I'm doing ok, healing as well as can be expected after a c-section.

I'm so glad you're home with baby boy. I wanted to visit you again, but thought you should get your rest. I am so happy for you both. Please let me know if there is anything you need or want me to bring over!

Cngratulations, once again :)

Andy loved his Bilibed too! Must be something soothing about its light and hum. Glad to know you are home. By the way, his weight is listed incorrectly on the hospital picture site. I was pretty darn sure he weighed more than Andy but he was listed as weighing 8lbs and 4 oz. Boy, I hate breastfeeding!!! But my milk production has gone through the roof now that I switched hospital pumps and I pump ALL the time. Now I get about 3 oz. per pump. But Andy still has latching issues. I may have to become and "exclusive breast pumper". That's ok by me!!!! BTW, Have I told you how much I love his name! So classy and so boyish and so sweet all at the same time.

Monica - Thanks - we love his name too!
I pumped one time in the hospital & it hurt! Maybe now that my milk has fully come in, it would be easier. So far we're just breast-feeding with ocassional supplements & so DH can help while I sleep. I have a pump at home, I should try it.
